Clove Hitch

The clove hitch is probably the most spearo-specific knot to know.  It tightens and grips on itself as you pull on the ends making it perfect as a constrictor knot to tie your own rubbers and bungees.
 
Clove Hitch 1STEP 1.

Wrap end around pole.
Clove Hitch 3STEP 2.

Cross line over itself and back around the pole.
Clove Hitch 4STEP 3.

Slip end under the last wrap.
Clove Hitch 5(copy)STEP 4.

Pull ends as tight as possible.
